Alberta Cuthbertson Memorial Minority Student Exhibit

Delta Sigma Theta (DST) Sorority has sponsored The Alberta Cuthbertson Memorial Guilford County Minority Student Exhibition as part of its annual May week for more than two decades. The Minority Student Exhibition began its association with the African American Atelier in the spring of 1992. The late Alberta Cuthbertson served as the DST’s Arts and Letters Committee and curated the exhibition until 2009. Cuthbertson, a former school teacher, was a member of the Atelier board. The Minority Student Exhibition showcases the creativity and talents of African Americans and other ethnic art students in our local schools. The Visual and Performing Arts program has honored more than 685 minority Guilford County high school students. The program provides students who are talented in art, drama, music and vocal presentations, a professional venue to showcase their work. Submissions by students at any of the 15 Guilford County High Schools are accepted and encouraged.
