Murals, Minds & Communities
“Murals, Minds, and Communities" is a three week summer arts camp that provides a creative venue for youth (5-16) to explore hands-on arts and crafts and examine art in public places while exploring multiple artistic mediums. Students will explore composition, design, visual applications and processes of two-dimensional imagery in public art.

Under the direction of an artist/teacher, students plan and prepare a mural for a select community site. An annual exhibition featuring art work created by youth participates culminates the program’s year. Atelier’s 2005-06 year round youth program served almost 4,000 children during the year.
