Join us Friday , September 2nd , for the free public opening of Authentic : A Celebration of QTBIPOC Art held during First Friday at the Greensboro Cultural Center. Authentic is particularly special as it will be the first exhibit at the African American Atelier that will display works exclusively from LGBTQ artists of color. Additionally, Authentic is one of the first QTBIPOC (Queer, Trans, Black, Indigenous, People of Color) Exhibitions in the city of Greensboro specifically held during Greensboro Pride Month. The exhibit features over 60 pieces, from 9 artist and Guilford Green Foundation & LGBTQ Center's rotating gallery, ranging from jewelry to mixed media, acrylics to digital art. Through a variety of mediums, Authentic explores intersectionality while empowering and validating one's authentic self and authentic experiences.

We invite you to attend our private closing reception for Authentic on October 5th from 6pm-8pm. Enjoy a night in the gallery with drinks and refreshments as a few of the artist on display will present artist talks . A portion of the tickets sales will be donated to a local LGBTQ non-profit with QTBIPOC Initiatives.
