What are the benefits of a Legacy Membership? Your membership includes a complimentary Digital Design Contest T-Shirt , entry to either 1 youth or 1 adult art class in 2024, and website recognition to your dedication to bring the African American Art Festival Back. As the Legacy Fund grows we will continue to find ways to uplift , support, and thank our Legacy Members.
Is this tax deductible? Yes! The African American Atelier, Inc is a 5013c non-profit corporation. Donations are deductible for income tax purposes. We will use the contact information to send letter to acknowledge your donation.
How does it work? Once you make your donation you will be redirected to a form where we will collect your information such as t-shirt size, name, email, and mailing address. Once we receive your information we will email you with further information about upcoming art classes as well as when the shirts will be ready for pick up.
How can I learn about the 2023-2024 Digital Design T-shirt design and learn about the artist? Visit the Digital Desgin Page under Events & Opportunities. We encourage you to learn about our Digital Design Winner Zion Jones and support her in her future endeavors as a rising artists.
Are the Legacy Memberships only for individuals? The membership is per person but not only for individuals. Families that all want to be under 1 name/email/address are encouraged to use the quantity feature within the donation link . If you would like each member in your family to be recognized , we encourage you to donate seperatley .
Is there a business membership available? Yes! The business memberships is reserved for businesses who would like to donate membership perks back to the community to ensure community members who also want to support but are currently unable are still able to show their support for the mission. Business Membership can make an entire youth art class free for participants. Business memberships can offer complimentary Digital Design Contest T-Shirts for a family or a group of artists.

How will I be recognized ? Using Alma S. Adams, PhD as an examples, if you are individual it will have your title and name i.e Dr. Alma S. Adams. Family memberships will be recognized as a unit Example: Family of Dr. Alma S. Adams.
Are the classes interchangeable? If I cannot attend can I gift my class to a friend or family member? Yes! This is why it is important all your information is correct. For art class registration there will be an option to use a free art class through your membership. As well as an option for a friend or family member to write in your name as the member. Allowing friends and family to participate in youth/adult art classes allows us to show new comers who we are at the African American Atelier.
Can I purchase just the 2023-2024 Digital Design T-shirt separately? At this time you may only donate for a full Legacy Membership .
