Since 1990, African American Atelier, Inc. has been dedicated to strengthening the exposure and visibility of African American artists.  

Co-founder by Alma Adams and the late Eva Hamlin Miller, the Atelier has become instrumental in creating awareness and educating the community about

African American art.

The Atelier also serves a vital role in the community through educational and outreach art programs that serve the youth.

Exhibitions

The African American Atelier, Inc. exhibits local, emerging, and internationally recognized African American artists, as well as, artists of other ethnicities. The Exhibitions at the Atelier demonstrate each artist’s immense talent through creative, profound works of art.

Art is Enlightening!

Atelier around the world Youth Program Includes:

  • Art! After School

  • Saturday Enrichment Workshops (S.E.W.)

  • Murals, Minds & Communities (MMC) Art Camp

 

Atelier around the world is a year-round visual arts and enrichment youth program designed to enhance

self-esteem and promote self-awareness. Since 1993, trained artist/professionals, teachers and volunteers have mentored and instructed students through creative arts activities

This hands-on program provides children between the ages of 5-16 with the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of art and encourage them to explore their artistic talent to the fullest.
