Murals, Minds and Communities

“Murals, Minds and Communities" is a summer arts camp that provides a creative venue for youth ages

5-16 that explores hands-on arts and crafts.

Under the direction of an artist/teacher, students plan and prepare a mural for a select community site. Students will examine public art while exploring multiple artistic mediums, processes, and subject matter. Students will explore the elements and principles of art and design to create a two-dimensional master piece in public art.

SUMMER CAMP 2021 

 The African American Atelier, Inc. will host its annual summer camp at the Greensboro Cultural Center from June 21- July 30, 2021 9am-3pm. During this 6 week program, campers will learn about local African American Artists, various types of Art, mural construction and many other projects. Each week our participants will exhibit their work in the Ateliers gallery and present and end of camp presentation on 7/30.
